Definition of rotate sort

rotate sort
1.  Also known as criss/cross or alternate sort. If sorting is desired and two different orientations of the same paper are loaded (8 1/2 x 11 and 11 x 8 1/2) the paper will be fed from both of these paper sources so that each set of collated copies is complete and stacked 90 degrees from the one below or above it.
