fluoropolymer
1.  Any of the plastics, as Teflon, in which hydrogen atoms of the hydrocarbon chains are replaced by fluorine atoms. A fluorocarbon based polymer with multiple strong carbon/fluorine bonds. It is characterized by a high resistance to solvents, acids, and bases. See Teflon.
