About the Dell 1700

Dell 1700 The Dell 1700 is a monochrome laser printer that is ideal for a personal desktop or home office use. It is compatible with both Windows and Mac computers, whereas some of the earlier models were only compatible with Windows. The monthly duty max is rated at 15,000 pages, giving it the power to keep up with busy printing. Standard print resolution is 1200x1200 dpi; this produces documents with sharp lines and crisp text.

Paper handling is flexible on the Dell 1700. The standard paper capacity starts with the 250-sheet drawer; it is upgradable to 800 sheets when the additional tray is purchased. The single-sheet bypass tray is perfect for printing on letterhead, envelopes, cardstock, and transparencies. Documents are output at speeds up to 24 pages-per-minute. A high-yield toner (310-7025) is available for the Dell 1700. It has an estimated page yield of 6,000 at 5 percent coverage.
