Toshiba released the e-STUDIO451C in 2005. It was designed for businesses that need a machine for in-house production. The Toshiba e-STUDIO451C provides B&W documents on demand and high-impact color when you need it; there are a broad spectrum of finishing options to add when you need to. Multi-copy time is 45 ppm in B&W and 11 ppm in color. Standard configuration includes copier, printer, and scanner capabilities—optional fax functions are available if needed. The e-STUDIO451C has a robust duty cycle of 150,000 per month.

User management can enable color restriction; meaning that a code would need to be entered before making color copies. This can reduce the amount of unnecessary color toner that is used. There are four toners needed for the Toshiba e-STUDIO451C. The black toner (T-281C-K) will yield 27,000 pages estimated at 6 percent coverage; the three color toners needed are cyan (T-281C-C), magenta (T-281C-M), and yellow (T-281C-Y)—each will yield approximately 10,000 pages with 6 percent coverage.
