Riso RZ1090U Ink

The Riso RZ1090U is a digital duplicator, a type of printer that uses liquid ink and digitally imaged master plates to produce runs of up to 4,000. The RZ1090U is the world's fastest digital duplicator and is energy efficient, using 90% less electricity than most high-speed electrophotographic printers.
The RZ1090U uses a thermal plate to create a master of the original image. The plate's tiny heat spots burn voids on a thermal, rice-based paper sheet. This process is similar to making a stencil for screenprinting, but requires less preparation.
The RZ1090U's internal stencil is laid onto a drum filled with ink. The drum spins at high speed, forcing the ink through the stencil and onto the paper.
